JOB POSTING: Skate & Skim Day Camp Instructor - March 19th, 2008

The District of Saanich is looking to hire one qualified instructor for its Skate & Skim summer day camps. All camps are run out of Gordon Head Recreation Centre.
Main duties for this position is program planning and leading groups of kids on the skate park at Gordon Head Recreation Centre, as well as skim out trips. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working with children, preferably in a camp setting which includes program planning, solid leadership skills and knowledge relating to working effectively and appropriately with schoolage children.
This position requires a successful criminal record check as well as current standard first aid (incl. CPR "C") certification.

This auxiliary position would begin June 15th, and run through to August 28th. Actual shifts are dependent on camp registration.
Wage - $16.23/hr + 13% in lieu of benefits @ 40hrs/week.
