| Mid-June 2000, South Island. 7:00 AM. Three guys out. Sunny and 18 Degrees. Took a chance and what a pay-off ! Ever have one of those sessions where you're grinning like an idiot for days afterwards and everyone is asking you if you won the lottery? My answer: yup ! It was breaking like this for about 2.5 hrs and then crapped out, but it was very consistent, many rides to be had. I was feeling greedy by the end of the day.

| April 2000, one fine day. After a morning and afternoon session our arms were spent and no amount of heat or tea could warm us up. Driving home in silence thinking about our rides, we pull past this spot and stop. Sunset was spent just watching others get as stoked as we were.

First let me say nice work redesigning the website. Looks awesome ! Sweet new logo. Nice coverage of the contest too, bummer about the swell though. I have attached some photos from the last season. My 99-00 season coverage. I would be stoked if you could put some or all of them on your site !
I am off to switzerland in a month for six long land-locked months. I'll try to get out to hossegor or mundaka and maybe send some pics your way. Keep up with the site. I'll be checking it while I'm gone to keep up my stoke.
