The Spiral Cape a Cape Cod surf story
I wrote this story after a Columbus Day weekend trip from my then-home in the Boston area to Cape Cod, in 1998. Much of this came from my journal, which I kept over the four days, and it's about 85 percent true and really happened that weekend.

The Cape is a special place, and I try to get out there several times per year to camp and surf.

Thanks to John Milliken, who lent his keen editing skills, and who made sure I wasn't hallucinating.

The following pix were all taken in Rhode Island on November 3, 1999. Water and air temperature are about 50 degrees F.

It's only an 8-foot face, but I'm sure he's not complaining after bottom-turning and looking up at this unblemished wall

How would you like to be the poor guy getting pitched by the lip on this one?

It isn't huge, but it sure is clean.
