We were getting the shots for the new coastal riders video last Saturday April 24. Coastal Riders is a shop in Surrey. Luckily for me the roof gap was first try and the boaslide was thrid. My buddy doing the Bs Lip is JOHN HAMLON and he rips, only 14 years old and bs lipping a 14 stair rail. This kid is nuts, and if you can believe it he's pretty much unsponsored. I moved to Vernon several years ago from Victoria. I lived, surfed, snowboarded, mountainbiked, hangglided, windsurfed, and skated in Victoria for just over seven years. I obviously do very little surfing now, but Vernon built a couple of nice skateparks and now I am skating more than ever (even at 31 years old!). About a year ago, a skating legend, and friend of mine (Marvin Penner), put me on to riding longboards. Not that downhill stuff, I mean real riding (hope no one takes offense), on parks and ramps, the longboard feels about as close to a wave as you can get on a hard surface, its great. Here are a couple of photos of me at the Coldstream skatepark in Vernon riding my new beloved longboard.
