The Capital Regional District has negotiated a massive deal with Western Forest Products to buy 2,347 hectares of high-profile waterfront and forest land.
The land deal worth $18.8 million, includes Sandcut Beach, Jordan River surfing beach and townsite, land beside Sooke Potholes regional park and areas which will add to the Sooke Hills wilderness park and the buffer around Greater Victoria water supply catchment area.
